A Travelers Journey is all about following your passion and experiences while being able to share those experiences with others. Those experiences can be shared by taking photographs, drawing, painting, videos, and scrapbooking. Some may even choose to share stories in person, through social media, blogging, writing stories, or email.
Most children live in the now, while others are sometimes called dreamers. These dreamers sometimes play school during the summer break, others may create a small business while others dream of living the life of an adventurer.
Adventurers are those who seek adventure while enjoying every part of the journey which may include daring to create a new path.
Who comes to mind when you think about an Adventurer?
Movie adventures that come to mind are; Clark Gable, Humphrey Bogart, Spencer Tracy, Patrick Stewart, Harrison Ford, Noah Wyle, Cary Grant, Lloyd Noland, Richard Basehart, and a host of others. In real life they are; Sir Edmund Hillary, George Adamson, David Livingston, Sir Henry Stanley, Dr. Robert Ballard, Meriwether Lewis, William Clark, and Jane Goodall to name a few.
Some people may want to be known as an Adventurer but they are actually Travelers. A traveler is someone who loves to explore new places whether it be local or around the world. Travelers can also be adventures because in some cases they are journeying to new places that may include hiking, biking, and paddling along with flying low in microgliders or helicopters.
Some travelers like to educate themselves by watching television programs that you might find on; The Discovery Channel, Travel Channel, Animal Planet, National Geographic, and National Geographic Wild. Others may purchase travel books or subscribe to travel related magazines such as National Geographic, Archaeology or Sunset. To make their journey more memorable, some travelers do a combination of both so that when they get to a location they can not only enjoy the moment but bring back memorable photographs,
One of the best ways to really enjoy your journey is to just DO IT. It makes no difference if it is a small trip to your local zoo, drive to the beach, or just to your neighborhood park. Pack some food, a beverage and your camera. Exploring with your camera can open up a new way to see the world. Some people have told me that I am missing the experience by being behind my camera. I don’t miss the experience as much as my experience is different while I can experience that part of my journey over and over again.
Today is the day we start our Journey!
